Microfabrication Process Engineer

Horizon Microtechnologies has developed a template based 3D microfabrication technology which combines the precision and design freedom of polymer-based 3D printing with on the microscale with material functionalities that go beyond polymer, for example conductivity. On the basis of this proprietary technology we act as a product development and manufacturing partner for customers from various high-tech industries.

In this role, you will be developing our in-house 3D microfabrication capabilities, driven by customer requirements and the strategic development plan of the company. You will have the opportunity to build Horizon’s technology leadership almost from the ground up and have a direct impact on the companies success.

Desired skills:

  • Academic or industrial experience with precision 3D printing
  • Experience with coating technologies is a plus
  • Experience with other microfabrication technologies is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in using microfabrication technology as an enabler for innovation

Your profile:

  • Strongly analytical approach to development planning and execution
  • You should enjoy taking on new challenges on a regular basis.
  • Independent and proactive way of working
  • Ability to work on and prioritize between multiple projects, sometimes under time pressure
  • Hands-on and can-do attitude 

Desired qualifications: 

  • Strong command of english is necessary, german is a plus but not required
  • MSc or higher degree in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a different relevant discipline. Vocational training in microtechnology will also be considered if underpinned by relevant work experience.
