3D Microprinting

We run the full process chain for high precision micro-3D printing under cleanroom conditions in our facility, centered around a Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) S240 DLP-machine. With this technology, we can make prototypes with high fidelity to CAD and end-use parts compatible with temperatures up to 200°C. In addition, we have the ability to quickly and efficiently evaluate new materials to cater for those applications requiring other material properties.

Our extensive experience with — and infrastructure for — optimizing 3D microfabrication processes will be of added value to you since we will take factors such as rinsing, shrinkage, placement and removal of supports (if indeed necessary) and optimal part orientation into account when designing and setting up the parts for printing. Upon request, we can measure visible part features with an optical microscope or an SEM. For internal features, we use micro-CT inspection.

Conservative Specifications:

  • Fidelity to CAD: +/- 25 µm out of the box typical; optimized: 10 µm or better with Design-for-µ-AM efforts
  • Voxel size: 10 µm lateral, 5 to 40 µm vertically (given by layer thickness)
  • Build volume: 10 cm x 10 cm x 7.5 cm
  • High temperature compatible materials and capability to quickly evaluate new materials
